Title: A model for the adoption and effective use of mobile phones for learning in marginalised communities.

Aims:

This poster presents a mobile learning model for the adoption and effective use of mobile phones for educational purposes by girls in marginalised communities in Sub Saharan Africa, focusing especially on the context of Zimbabwe.

Key findings and ideas:

The Agenda 2030 and SDG framework is premised on harnessing ICTs to attain the world we want to live in. SDG 4 is to “ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all”. This research draws on empirical data from Sub-Saharan Africa to develop a mobile learning model for the adoption and effective use of mobile phones for educational purposes by girls in marginalised communities. Its results are of us in addressing the many educational challenges in the continent.
